Germany pay-TV platform Premiere has said it has finally switched off its old conditional access system rendering thousands of modified digital receivers and illicit devices useless.
In a statement Premiere said its former encryption signal had been switched off following the completion of the card swap programme that has seen new cards issued for Nagravision’s latest CA system and the introduction of NDS VideoGuard. “From today onward, Premiere is only available for Premiere subscribers,” the company said.
Earlier this month Premiere ceased the sale of its pre-paid Flex cards as the company tightens up procedures in the wake of the recalculation of subscriber numbers.
