The Romanian DTH platform Focus Sat had revenues of ˆ15 million last year, or more than double the ˆ6.94 million it posted in 2009.
However, according to ZF, quoting data from the Ministry of Finance, its net losses over the same period rose from ˆ4.6 million to ˆ7.2 million.
Focus Sat is owned by Liberty Global and ended the second quarter with 242,000 subscribers, or 6,500 more than three months earlier.
It competes in a DTH market also served by RCS&RDS (Digi) and Romtelecom (Dolce and the former AKTA Satelit TV and Boom TV).
