Canal+ has outlined the details of the high definition television service that will launch during April over the CanalSat digital satellite platform. The initial two-channel package will comprise the premium Canal+ and National Geographic Channel. Other broadcasters are expected to come on stream later in 2006. Registration for the MPEG-4 terminal dubbed “Mediasat Max” will open on April 4. The HD option is being priced at an additional 9 evro per month.
