Deutsche Telekom has reportedly agreed the terms of an agreement with German pay-TV platform Premiere for the production of its Bundesliga football coverage. While Premiere famously lost the pay-TV cable and satellite rights to the cable-supported Arena consortium, Telekom successfully bid for the IPTV rights. However, the possibility of the telco acquiring a stake in the German telco has been rejected. Telekom is also looking to gain access to Premiere’s movie and documentary content ahead of the launch of its IPTV service later this summer.
