SES Astra has acquired the minority shareholdings of its partners in the Satlynx business taking its shareholding from 77% to 100%. The satellite broadband solutions provider was established four years ago as a joint venture with the Israeli based satellite networking systems company Gilat and satellite services provider Alcatel Alenia Space. “We remain very confident about the future of Satlynx and will continue to rely on it as a key element of our managed services capability,” said SES President and CEO Ferdinand Kayser. The company provides two-way satellite broadband communications services including customised solutions to large enterprises and institutions.
