New carriage agreements with Canal Digitaal in the Netherlands and Tele2Vision in Sweden have taken the Extreme Sports Channel past the 20 million-subscriber mark. The Liberty Global-owned channel is now available in 55 countries across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Extreme will sit in Canal Digitaal’s fourth-tier ‘Famile Pakket’, which is believed to have but a fraction of the platforms potential 650,000 subscribers. Extreme has also been added to the newly launched digital package of Tele2Vision.
